My Background
My entire life has been dedicated to the asphalt industry. In 1997 I got my start on a patch crew in the Twin Cities and eventually, after a lot of hard work and dedication, I worked my way up to the mainline paving crew and large-scale highway projects.
In 1990, I decided to expand my knowledge base and began seal coating driveways during downtimes. After relocating to the Chippewa Valley, I had to make a decision between joining a new company or starting my own. The answer was sitting right there in front of me. I was young, full of energy and had a great desire to move my own company forward, so I started my own company in 1991.

At Asphalt Maintenance and Paving our dedication to the asphalt industry is all we know and it shows. I built this company from the ground up following the simple principle of offering honest work at a fair price.
Asphalt Maintenance and Paving has been doing business since 1991. We’ve grown from a two-man operation to having multiple employees and crews. After surviving Y2k (haha) the business has expanded from seal coating driveways to a full-service, one-stop-shop in the early 2000’s (including the acquisition of an Eau Claire-based asphalt maintenance company, The Tar Guys). Thanks to loyal customers and increasing demand, our expertise has grown by leaps and bounds. It’s what gives us our edge when we tackle your most demanding.
